Event Switch or Withdrawal

The Basic Stuff
Event switches will be allowed at the discretion of the Race Organizers.
The processing of event switch requests - including requests made at Race Package Pickup - may be postponed (or even declined) at any time for any reason, including - but not limited to - the requested event being sold out.
When switching from the Full to the Half (or vice versa) the switching fee will depend on:
- When you originally registered, and
- When you make the request to switch events.
Please refer to the section that begins with the date range when you originally registered (eg. prior to June 1st, between June 1st and August 31st, etc.)
ANY request to switch MUST be made by emailing runqcm@hotmail.com ASAP.
Requests made by telephone must be followed up by an email request, whenever possible.
Make your email subject heading: “(your name) switching from (event) to (event)”.
Please include:
- Your full name
- The event in which you are currently registered
- The event into which you wish to switch.
Payment of applicable switching fees must follow ASAP by mail. See details below.
Entries may not be transferred, given or sold to a third party or deferred to a future date.
Those racing under a false identity are not covered by event insurance and are not eligible for an official race time or any overall or age category awards. In addition, they can be disqualified and barred from entering future QCM events.

Fee Payment Details For Switches
Switch from the Full to the Half Run or Walk
If you registered for the Full Marathon prior to June 1st:
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk prior to June 1st, the switching fee is $10.00
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk between June 1st and August 31st (inclusive), the switching fee is $15.00
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk between September 1st and September 4th (inclusive), the switching fee is $30.00
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk at Race Package Pickup, the switching fee is $40.00
If you registered for the Full Marathon between June 1st and August 31st (inclusive):
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk prior to September 1st, the switching fee is $10.00
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk between September 1st and September 4th (inclusive), the switching fee is $10.00
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk at Race Package Pickup, the switching fee is $20.00
If you registered for the Full Marathon between September 1st and September 4th (inclusive):
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk prior to September 5th, the switching fee is $10.00
- And request to switch to the Half Run or Walk at Race Package Pickup, the switching fee is $20.00
Payment by cheque or money order (do not send cash through the mail) must be mailed ASAP to:

Please include a brief note with all pertinent information regarding your request so that we may process your request efficiently and promptly. For example: "This is the payment for Joe Smith transfering from the Full Marathon to the Half Marathon Run."
You may switch to either the half marathon RUN or the half marathon WALK - please specify in your switch request. Please note that, if switching to the Half Marathon WALK event, it is a non-competitive event and no awards are presented.
Upon receipt of your payment, your request will be processed and confirmation sent by email.
NOTE: Those requesting an event switch after August 31st may be asked to just bring a copy of our email reply to Race Package Pickup, and pay for the switch in person there.
There will be no refund of any fees already paid.
You will receive the short-sleeved half marathon tech shirt, not the long-sleeved full marathon tech shirt.
Switch from the Half Run or Walk to the Full
If you registered for the Half Marathon Run or Walk prior to June 1st:
- And request to switch to the Full prior to June 1st, the switching fee is $10.00
- And request to switch to the Full between June 1st and August 31st (inclusive), the switching fee is $25.00
- And request to switch to the Full between September 1st and September 4th (inclusive), the switching fee is $40.00
- And request to switch to the Full at Race Package Pickup, the switching fee is $50.00
If you registered for the Half Marathon Run or Walk between June 1st and August 31st (inclusive):
- And request to switch to the Full prior to September 1st, the switching fee is $10.00
- And request to switch to the Full between September 1st and September 4th (inclusive), the switching fee is $20.00
- And request to switch to the Full at Race Package Pickup, the switching fee is $30.00
If you registered for the Half Marathon Run or Walk between September 1st and September 4th (inclusive):
- And request to switch to the Full prior to September 5th, the switching fee is $10.00
- And request to switch to the Full at Race Package Pickup, the switching fee is $20.00

Switch from the Half Run to Half Walk (or vice versa)
There is a $10.00 flat fee for this switch, with one exception (see below).
Note: For any request to switch from the Half Run to the Half Walk (or vice versa) made at Race Package Pickup, the switching fee is $20.00

Please note that, if switching to the Half Marathon WALK event, it is a non-competitive event and no awards are presented.

Changing Relay Team Names & Member Information
If the changes are made prior to August 15th, there is no fee charged.
Changes required after August 15th must be done by Credit Union QCM personnel and will be subject to a processing fee of $5.00 per change.
NOTE: Teams requesting changes after August 31st may be asked to just bring a copy of our email reply to Race Package Pickup, and pay for the changes in person there.
Changes to the names and information of members of your Relay Team can be made in one of two ways:
1. The online registration method provides an option to create a Running Room account, also called an Athlete Dashboard or Athlete Profile.
- If the registrant creates an account during the registration process, they then have the capability of editing their team information at any time up to August 15th.

2. Changes can also be made by emailing runqcm@hotmail.com.
- Please include your team's name, your name, and all the information that requires changing.
- Please make the email subject line: "Changes to (team name) Relay Team".
- NOTE: It's very important to tell us your team's name, as that is how we identity them in our Relay registration database.

Withdrawing from the Race
50% Refund Deadline: Participants who contact us via email by 11:59 PM (local Saskatchewan time) August 15th to officially withdraw will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total paid for registration fees and pasta party tickets, less any credit card processing charges.
After 11:59 PM (local Saskatchewan time) August 15th, no fees or payments will be refunded for any reason.
